Our work focuses on how molecular chaperones function in cells – both in general protein homeostasis and in specialized roles. Using genetic and biochemical tools we study how Hsp70s and their many J-domain protein co-chaperones drive processes as diverse as general de novo protein folding and biogenesis of iron sulfur clusters.
